Romy completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania. On graduation she moved to Western Australia where she undertook training in General Practice(GP) and a diploma of obstetrics and gynaecology. She practiced in the United Kingdom and Victoria before returning to her home state of Tasmania with her family.
